Jordan: WFTU denounces the governments' plans to use the money of the social security funds for investments

The World Federation of Trade Unions, which is the militant voice of 92

million workers in 126 countries all over the world, denounces the plans of the

government of Jordan, who intends to exploit the workers' money from their

social security funds so as to make investments.

The WFTU expresses its internationalist solidarity with the working class of

Jordan, who is suffering from law salaries and from the rise in the cost of

living. The money of the security funds belongs to the workers and they are

for the covering of the workers' social security system that has to have a

modern and public character.

We call on the workers' of Jordan to resist against this measure that harms

their rights and to struggle for the defense of their social security funds
