It’s the nature of life which make you follow the improvement of yourself morally, mentally and socially. I will admit that the social development is the hardest quest ever because it's based on the development of inner morality, in addition to the social boundaries that force the individuals to live in a hostile environment.
Social boundaries hold's the individual horses toward their development. Yes, it’s an instinct for all human beings, but it is still has real difficulties as the way that will be used to achieve your ambition in order to reshape your destiny.
Being ambitious is a social right for all individuals within any society despite their identity, religion, race and ethics. Being too ambitious, dissatisfied with your destiny, poverty and hostile environment lead hundreds of youngs to ride death boats for the quest of themselves. These individuals illegally migrate from poor, hostile and army struggle countries and attempt to risky journeys the better life in Europe.
From Africa and Asia the new travelers enter Europe by sea during long and dangerous journeys. In most cases, they are facing a serious death, as those who fleet from hostile environment as i Tunisia, and Morocco.
Those who escape from hostile environment are ordinary people. They are the main part of their society. They start their life as an ambitious individual or underdogs. But in both sides, they are suffering from social injustice. The escape from their hostile circumstances, ride the death boat to seek for their selves. They escape to can identify themselves within new community where they can play a spectacular role in their life.
In English literature we call this type of people "Bildungsromane". In this case life is the Escaper's teacher. They learn from their educational experiences in their life. So, most of them internalize their image about themselves as poor, backward, and humble from the external environment that surround them. Social oppression over them, force them to escape in death boats because they are restless in their society. Although they know that they might die for their quest for their life without achieving a positive transition, they ride death boats without any hope for improving their hostile reality. The turning point of this educational experience will be the milestone for more painful reality, inner conflict, while the facing extra frustration, disappointment and death by sinking.
Their journey toward the mysterious future cost them their life. Their quest for developing their life, social situation and uninspiring sitting can easily transform that poor into careerist person who would kill or steel to ride that death boats toward more wealthy and civilized country as Europe. This journey can end in two paths. A path to hell or a path toward the nearest jail you reach it, or in the best conditions you will live your life escape from street to street from the police. This end is just as the French Bildungsromans who his quest for himself ends by death or prison because any society will consider them as outsiders in which it should protect it boarders from those outsiders.
