Aged wrinkles

Last week, I've been read an Arabic novel entitled (ya sahibay al-sigen) and my translation for this title is Oh, My two friends in Jail. It is by Dr. Ayman Al-Otoom from Jordan-Jarash.

Actually, it is not about age lines, in the face, particularly. It is a semiautobiographical novel about the writer's experience in Jordanian's prisons, which is not too long, actually it is less than one year according to his argument in the novel.

This is not a long time, but while I was reading this novel I felt that it was the writer's whole age. What I am going to talk about is that this novel is about how the time was passing in prison for Ayman. I think all novels and short stories should have this element of passing time; because it is so important and it is the core of everything in our lives.

While I was reading the novel, I thought about this issue, and how can we deal with it, for us as individuals or groups ? I think it is not important if it is in jail or outside in real life, time is going too fast and we can't control it. Should we ignore this very important issue ?? or consider it as a situational sickness ? Or maybe accept it as natural sequence of events.
