Nothing But The Truth

It is Nesannews, carrying upon its shoulders to present the "truth" to its audience. Professor Ahmad Majdoubeh, once, said to me that the truth is perception. He meant by this that my perception of the truth is different than yours, and he added that we need to accept the other's opinions. He said: there is the argument and the counter argument. Nevertheless of his meaning of the "truth", but I think we need to expose our "truth" to this stupid world.
I am now in USA. And they, here in our institution, trying to draw an excellent background about themselves and about their institution; at the end my practice in USA, one of the instructors here told me that I should tell the "truth" about America and Americans to my people when I come back home, but which "truth" he means? Is it theirs or mine ???
Until we reached to the last day that I have to give a speech at the celebration that they already have prepared. At that moment I gave them my critical paper about two novels, then I said : if you are interested in Art and especially critical papers and you want to know me, so this is my argument or my "truth".
That paper presents my opinion about Rudyard Kipling's novel Kim as a non-native writer who wrote his view about India. Especially how he represents the native characters in this novel. The second is Waiting for the Mahatm by the Indian writer R. K. Narayan, who gives us his perception about Indians by using Mahatma Gandhi as a real character in his novel.
We can see the differences clearly between these two perceptions of the "truth", and the representation of natives in colonized countries such as India. Therefore, I can ask : who does have the right to present the "truth" about native people in our countries? should he be one of us ?? or someone else who is outsider?? Dear reader: I think you can answer these question according to your perception of the "truth".
My "truth" is not to look in one eye or talk in one tongue. It is me and you, both. In this regard I talked with Mr. Ibraheem Al- Qubelat once before they Initiate their Nesan news website about my suggestion of an English page. And what encouraged me to start my writing with them was his speech about presenting the reality or what they call " truth".
I hope this page will present our "truth" as Jordanian Arabs people. In this community there are many of good aspects or qualities. We have the language, the land, the history, religion, and human beings. We have all aspects of constructing a distinctive identity.
Therefore, we can construct and establish our Identity via presenting our "truth". Someone may ask about the perception of the "reconstruction" for new Identity. The answer for him or her is as Dr. Tahreer Hamdi answered me once that If we have a destructive Identity, we should rebuild it again.

What I am trying to say is that we have in our community, inside ourselves, many of great attributes and good qualities that may participate in rebuilding our national Identity as Arabs. We need to explore and expose these good things inside us, we need to believe in ourselves, then we can tell people about our "truth". I hope that Nesan news will be one of those opportunities on the right track. Perhaps, it will help us to discuss and expose the solutions of our issues such as terrorism or sectarianism, and division, and how we see them according to our perspective, to rise our voice and think as autonomous thinkers.
